Dr. Trippitelli is a Board-Certified psychiatrist and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association with more than 20 years of clinical experience.
She provides outpatient care as well as consultations in her private practice through in -person appointments in Solana Beach, California as well as telemedicine and telehealth psychotherapy appointments for patients located in the states of California, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, and New York.
The Solana Beach office is conveniently located in the San Diego area. It is easily accessible to patients coming from surrounding areas within San Diego including Carlsbad, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, Del Mar, and La Jolla.Â
Specialized Care for Adolescents and Adults
Dr. Trippitelli treats adolescents and adults ages 15 and older. Her approach is individualized and evidence-based, with treatment plans thoughtfully tailored to each patient. Treatment includes an individualized balance of psychotherapy, medication management, and healthy lifestyle strategies such as nutrition and exercise. Referrals for interventional procedures such as TMS may also be provided if needed. She places a strong emphasis on coordinating care with the patient’s primary care clinician and medical specialists, when relevant.

Medical Training and Education
Dr. Trippitelli brings more than 20 years of experience in clinical psychiatry. She completed her Psychiatry Residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She did a Fellowship in Eating Disorders after her Psychiatry Residency. Her undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Philosophy from Rice University.
Advanced Expertise and Professional Distinction
Dr. Trippitelli completed a clinical fellowship in Eating Disorders at the Center for Eating Disorders in Towson, Maryland after her psychiatry residency. She is an active member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, and the Academy for Eating Disorders, and holds the distinction of Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.

Dr. Trippitelli has maintained long-standing involvement in teaching and leadership within professional organizations. During her time in Washington, DC she served on the Faculty at Georgetown University Hospital where she was involved with teaching medical students and residents. She served on the Board of Directors of the Washington DC Psychiatric Society for many years and also on multiple American Psychiatric Association committees at the national level including the Assembly Executive Committee and Chair of the Committee on Early Career Psychiatry . She is currently a member of the San Diego Psychiatric Society and remains actively engaged in career mentorship, leadership development, and advancing professional standards within the field.
